The Asian Elderly Care Awards (AECA) 2019

The Asian Elderly Care Awards are for best practices and excellence in contributing to the physical, emotional, economic, social and spiritual well-being of the elderly by any self-employed individual, physician, institution, retirement home or clinic. Small or big institutions, clinics or individuals have an equal chance of winning.

Judging: How judges are selected and how entries are judged

The Judges consists of representatives from major sponsors, selected speakers, and other members of the Advisory Board/MEC team. They are formed into judging panels, one for every award category. A chairperson is appointed for each panel.

These judging teams (or 3 to 4 per panel) review the entries and make final recommendations to the conference advisory committee.

The selections of the judging teams are compiled by the secretariat. This is then circulated to all judges en banc, with final recommendations from the secretariat.

The winners are those who in the OPINION of the judges best satisfy the category criteria. There is usually one winner, called “WINNER – GOLD AWARD”. There are also one to three excellence awards that are called: “WINNER – EXCELLENCE AWARD”. However, if there are two projects in the same category that are equally meritorious, an award may be given to both projects as joint winners of the Gold Award. Note that if there are no exceptional projects submitted in a category, the Judges are not committed to giving an award.

Please keep in touch with Karishma MANDHYAN (Ms.), Awards Coordinator, at [email protected] if you have any questions.
